Man United v Real Madrid: Super Cup final preview
Manchester United's opening game of the season will be against Real Madrid in the Super Cup final in Skopje.
The match was held at Philip II Arena in Macedonia's capital of Skopje.
Real Madrid won the match with a 2-1 score, making it their 4th UEFA Super Cup title. Gianluca Rocchi was the referee of the match.
The UEFA Super Cup is an annual event organized by the Union of European Football Associations. It is a one match spectacle between the two main European club rivals, from the UEFA Champions League and from the UEFA Europa League.
This year, the soccer game was between Real Madrid - who holds the title of the UEFA CL, and Manchester United - who holds the title of the UEFA EL.
In the 24th minute, Carlos Casemiro scored the first goal for Real Madrid. The first half of the match ended with 1-0, for Real Madrid. In the beginning of the second part of the game, Francisco Suarez AKA Isco made a deeper cut in the Manchester United's defense, scoring one more goal for Real Madrid.
United's new hope, the 24-year-old Romelu Lukaku, managed to score a goal for his team in 62nd minute of the game, but it was all in vain, as the final result stayed 2-1.
