Championship play-off final preview: Aston Villa v Fulham
Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce hopes his experience in play-off finals will help his side as they face an in-form Fulham side who have only lost twice in the Championship this year.
Fulham have five points more than Aston Villa, so that makes them some kind of a favorite in this match.
The game is set for May 26, Saturday, at Wembley stadium.
Fulham beat Derby County 2-1 on aggregate in the play-off semi-finals. Slavisa Jokanovic's side lost the first leg 1-0 at Derby before a 2-0 win at Craven Cottage last Monday. Wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon scored his 16th goal of the season before assisting Dennis Odoi for the winner.
Aston Villa were 1-0 aggregate winners over Middlesbrough in their two-legged semi-final tie. Mile Jedinak scored 15 minutes into the first leg at the Riverside.
Fulham narrowly missed out on automatic promotion, losing on the final day of the season at Birmingham to end their brilliant 23-match unbeaten run.
Even though Fulham have the slight lead, this will be a very even match!
