Rooney's 200 Premier League goals: Koeman heaps praise on Everton striker

Everton manager Ronald Koeman heaps praise on Wayne Rooney as the striker hit his 200th Premier League goal to earn the Toffees a draw at Manchester City.

31-year-old forward/midfielder Wayne Rooney is one of the most popular and famous soccer stars on the planet.

He was born in Corxteth, Liverpool, and was brought up as a Roman Catholic. He is of Irish descent.

He grew up supporting Everton soccer club, and eventually he played for Everton in the beginning of his career - from 2002, until 2004.

From 2004, Rooney transferred to Manchester United and he stayed there until this year.

He was the youngest player to play for England's national team. Rooney played his first match for England in 2003, at only 17 years of age.

Rumors have spread in the last couple of months of Rooney's comeback to Everton team, and now those rumors are facts - from 9th of July, Wayne Rooney is once again united with his childhood dream-team.

Rooney is most-capped outfield player of all-time and is England's second highest appearance holder behind Peter Shilton. He will play for England in 2018 World Cup.

Rooney is now playing for Everton, his old club, and his manager Ronald Koeman has only words of praise for him!
