One of the most recent qualifying games for the 2018 FIFA World Cup was between England's and Slovakia's national teams.
England managed to beat Slovakia 2-1, and to ensure itself a future competitions in the World Cup.
It was a very tense match, because England and Slovakia were separated by just two points at the top of Group F.
This win is a big thing for England's national team, but it doesn't mean that they will make their way to the Russian soil just yet!
They will need two points from their remaining fixtures against Slovenia and Lithuania to guarantee a place at next summer's World Cup finals in Russia.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be hosted in Russia, from June 14th until July 15th, 2018. There will be 32 teams competing for the World Champions title, and currently many nations are playing qualifying games, and they are trying their best to be in that 32 teams.
This will be the first World Cup ever held in Eastern Europe, and it will be the first held in Europe since 2006.
A Total of 64 matches will be played in 12 venues located in 11 cities.
